Our Sak Classics Winner!

Congrats to our Sak Classics Contest winner Jodi!!!
We received many wonderful best friend stories, but Jodi and her best friend Jennifer took first place! They both received Dogeared Best Friends Gold Dipped Angel Wings set as well as a Sak Classics bag of their choice for each of them.

"I have, without a doubt, the best friend a girl could ask for! I was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2006, then with breast cancer in 2008. My friend, Jennifer, has been a pillar of strength not only for me, but for my husband and children as well. She has been here for us unconditionally- joining me for chemo treatments and doctor visits, babysitting for our two young children, cleaning my home, fixing us meals, and so much more. Jen has lifted so much of my husband's burdens, sitting with him through my surgeries, and making sure that things at home are done in my absence. Jen is the type of friend that every girl wants to have! She is devoted, selfless, and caring. She gives the term "girlfriend" a whole new meaning. My life is so much richer because of Jennifer. Although I thank her frequently, I know that I will never be able to repay her, or thank her adequately for all she has done for my family and me. I finished chemotherapy this past June,
and took a girls vacation with Jennifer and other friends in July. My prognosis is positive, and I feel incredibly blessed. I look forward to growing old with Jennifer by my side, and making more wonderful memories together!"

We also received this kind response to winning and her entry.

Hello Jill,

Thank you so much! I am so excited that we've been chosen as your Grand Prize winner. I can't wait to tell Jennifer, and honor to honor her with a new Sak bag as one small way of repayment for all of the wonderful things she has done for me!

I am blessed in so many ways, and I will add this honor to my list of things to be grateful for. How timely, just before Thanksgiving! Thank you so very much for considering us, and our story.

Once again, I'd like to tell you that I've had nothing but wonderful experience with The Sak. I have been buying your bags for years, and your products and customer service have always exceeded my expectations. You have earned my patronage as a loyal customer, and look forward to purchasing Sak bags for friends and family as well!

Best regards, Jodi

We hope you both enjoy your prizes with one another!

Sakroots Artist Circle Launch Party

On August 4th, The Sak hosted a party celebrating the launch of Sakroots Artist Circle.

Building on the success of The Sak’s signature “peace print”, The Sak introduced the sakroots Artist Circle available early Spring 2010. Representing unity and reflecting each artists own unique style, the sakroots Artist Circle features a “gallery” of original prints created by artists who share in the brand’s hope of cultivating peace and harmony. Sakroots will introduce a new artist print each season demonstrating The Sak’s overall “peace” message.

The sakroots Artist Circle collection is eco-friendly and uses materials such as jute, 100% recycled cotton and recycled nylon and supports the The Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees Campaign. The event revealed the One World print featuring art by Brookl
yn-based artist Diane Barcelowsky which signifies the shared philosophy that “we all share one world, one dream of peace”. The print illustrates diverse cultures, animals and nature living together harmoniously and includes elements such as the “om” symbol of peace and the elephant which signifies power and helps remove obstacles.
