Sakroots Artist Circle Launch Party
On August 4th, The Sak hosted a party celebrating the launch of Sakroots Artist Circle.
Building on the success of The Sak’s signature “peace print”, The Sak introduced the sakroots Artist Circle available early Spring 2010. Representing unity and reflecting each artists own unique style, the sakroots Artist Circle features a “gallery” of original prints created by artists who share in the brand’s hope of cultivating peace and harmony. Sakroots will introduce a new artist print each season demonstrating The Sak’s overall “peace” message.
The sakroots Artist Circle collection is eco-friendly and uses materials such as jute, 100% recycled cotton and recycled nylon and supports the The Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees Campaign. The event revealed the One World print featuring art by Brooklyn-based artist Diane Barcelowsky which signifies the shared philosophy that “we all share one world, one dream of peace”. The print illustrates diverse cultures, animals and nature living together harmoniously and includes elements such as the “om” symbol of peace and the elephant which signifies power and helps remove obstacles.
