Our Sak Classics Winner!
Congrats to our Sak Classics Contest winner Jodi!!!
We received many wonderful best friend stories, but Jodi and her best friend Jennifer took first place! They both received Dogeared Best Friends Gold Dipped Angel Wings set as well as a Sak Classics bag of their choice for each of them.
"I have, without a doubt, the best friend a girl could ask for! I was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2006, then with breast cancer in 2008. My friend, Jennifer, has been a pillar of strength not only for me, but for my husband and children as well. She has been here for us unconditionally- joining me for chemo treatments and doctor visits, babysitting for our two young children, cleaning my home, fixing us meals, and so much more. Jen has lifted so much of my husband's burdens, sitting with him through my surgeries, and making sure that things at home are done in my absence. Jen is the type of friend that every girl wants to have! She is devoted, selfless, and caring. She gives the term "girlfriend" a whole new meaning. My life is so much richer because of Jennifer. Although I thank her frequently, I know that I will never be able to repay her, or thank her adequately for all she has done for my family and me. I finished chemotherapy this past June, and took a girls vacation with Jennifer and other friends in July. My prognosis is positive, and I feel incredibly blessed. I look forward to growing old with Jennifer by my side, and making more wonderful memories together!"
